Not only do we see it as normal to have an ultrasound scan when we are pregnant or feel a lump, we also expect the sonographer to be of high standard to detect any problems.

Most women in our neighbouring islands do not get access to ultrasound when pregnant and foetal abnormalities are missed.

It's simple: quality ultrasound detects risks to the unborn baby or a woman with breast cancer and decreases mortality.

Radiology Across Borders is a registered charity. All donations are tax deductible.

Your donation will support a joint program between Radiology Across Borders and the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine to provide hands-on education and training following a tailored curriculum to sonographers in Samoa.
