Increase the access to quality imaging services for First Nations People

Project Leads - A/Prof Sam Heard, A/Prof Suresh de Silva, A/Prof Ben Kwan, Dr Ronald Shnier, Dr Shrey Viranna, Catherine Scott, Saheeda Zotter, Trina Shnier

UNITY is a pioneering project dedicated to enhancing access to quality imaging services for Australian First Nations People working directly with A/Prof Sam Heard and his amazing committed teams.

Through a strategic partnership with I-MED Radiology Network and supported by Siemens Healthineers, UNITY facilitates the travel of skilled professionals to remote areas, where they provide essential imaging services and collaborate with local healthcare workers. Together, we work to train and empower these healthcare professionals to deliver imaging services directly to their communities.

Furthermore, UNITY goes beyond physical site visits by offering online mentorships for remote area healthcare workers, direct on-line reporting support, thoracic imaging support by A/Prof Ben Kwan, and more. This virtual support ensures ongoing guidance and assistance, strengthening the capacity of local healthcare teams to meet the needs of their communities effectively.

Join us in our mission to make quality healthcare accessible to all Australian First Nations People. With UNITY, we're bringing expertise and support directly to those who need it most.
