Dr Murthy Chennapragada is dual fellowship trained interventional and paediatric radiologist based in Sydney, Australia . His specialty training included fellowships in Paediatric radiology at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, Australia, and in vascular and interventional radiology at the University of Toronto, Canada. He is a Senior Staff specialist radiologist at the Children’s Hospital at Westmead, and a Visiting Interventional Radiologist at Gosford hospital. He is also part of Sydney Interventional Radiology Associates, a private Interventional radiology group in Sydney.
Murthy is one of the very few specialists in Australia with the unique training and experience in treating both adults and children using interventional radiology. His areas of special interest include paediatric abdominal imaging, paediatric interventions in particular paediatric liver transplant related interventions, renal vascular interventions, dialysis access interventions and treatment of vascular malformations.
Murthy has published widely in Radiology journals and is a regular invited speaker at national and international conferences . He currently holds academic position with the University of Sydney as a Clinical Senior Lecturer and supervises MD students.
Murthy is a member of RSNA, SIR, CIRSE and serves on the executive committees of ANZ. Society of paediatric radiology (ANZSPR) and the Society for Pediatric Interventional Radiology (SPIR).
