COVID-19 Hand Hygiene and Infection Control

Report by: Nadine Thompson

In our recent past RAB delivered an online lecture covering "Hand Hygiene and Infection Control" by Nadine Thompson and with the threat posed by COVID-19 we feel it important to release this lecture out of our members area for all to view. We encourage you to let others know of this lecture.

Infection control is a vital consideration for all healthcare workers. Radiology departments and practices have special considerations for infection control to protect their patients and themselves. This presentation will be based on information provided by Hand Hygiene Australia and provide useful and practical information on the importance of infection control and hand hygiene for staff working in radiology including some helpful hints of how to implement best practice.

Nadine is the Chief Radiographer at Sydney Adventist Hospital. She is a clinical lecturer at the University of Sydney Medical School and chair of the Australian Society of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy advanced practice advisory panel.
